Many require a credit card to hold your reservation especially if your expect to check in late or have been delayed unexpectedly. Make sure to take with you the hotel telephone number and address written down so you can contact them or even to show a cabby if you do not speak the language. To avoid disappointment and/or financial loss, it is wise to always re-confirm all bookings from hotels to auto rental to airline reservations. We have found several re-confirmations have been necessary even up to the last minute since airlines have been known to combine flights, cancel flights and/or change aircraft which results in the loss of seating assignments made no matter how far in advance. |
