If you are not staying in Carmel village and need a reasonably priced place to stay, the Carmel Mission Inn is a good choice. The rooms are large with old world canopies at the head of the king size beds. Located at the mouth of Carmel Valley, the mission is just a few blocks away and the two charming shopping centers are just a few minute walk away. Dogs are welcome and there are ample walking areas around the hotel. But please, do carry some sandwich bags to clean up after your pet so they will continue to be welcome!
