Peter and Linda D'Aprix 2002
The Giardino has a lovely spa in the basement decorated in warm Roman earthtones with summertime frescoes on the walls, rattan longueurs, sauna, dimly lit treatment rooms with a ceiling full of night sky and twinkling stars, everywhere the sound of water fountains, piles of fluffy towels, steam room and tanning bed. By 2003 their new dedicated building will be complete that will be even more splendid. So while Dad and the kids are racing each other on the free bikes, Mom can pamper herself in this lovely spa.
To be specific, this spa is equipped with a large, classic sauna which is integrated with light therapy, a generously dimensioned Smaragd steam bath with glass prism and back lit precious stone which looks very impressive but whose function remains a bit mysterious, an herbal sauna and what is described as "the peaceful oasis of the five elements that guarantee pure relaxation".
In this "peaceful oasis" you can have a variety of beauty treatments as well as massages. The new spa will feature an inside pool for year round swimming even when the snow is on the ground, and a fitness studio to generate a need for a massage and an herbal sauna routine. A short walk or bike ride into town will supply all the upscale accoutrements for beauty for the face and body as well as marvelous boutiques well stocked with fashion and jewelry to bedeck the rejuvenated body and soul.
