Chef de Cuisine Philippe Combet is the Executive Chef at the prestigeous Relais et Château hotel Château de Mercuès just outside of Cahors. At 43, he has a wealth of experience behind him having trained and worked in many fine establishments under some of the top chefs in France.

Before taking the position of Executive Chef at Château de Mercuès in 1997, he was the second in command for Chef Stéphane Raimbault in "L'Oasis (la Napoule)". He took his apprenticeship in Provence after which he worked under Louis Outier of "L'Oasis", Jacques Chibois when he was at "Gray d'Albion" and under Christian Willer at "La Palme d'Or" (Hotel Martinez). An enviable background and well suited to establishing himself in his own right at Château de Mercuès.
