The allure of the delightful and fun filled atmosphere of the Byblos Hotel in St. Tropez has been captured in their latest addition to the hotel, the Byblos Spa by Sisley Cosmetics. They have partnered with Sisley the most luxurious cosmetics and beauty products company in France, creating the only spa of its kind in the world, offering treatments and products designed exclusively for the Byblos Hotel.
Sisley and Byblos are made for each other: both are small, French, family-run businesses, offering a top-quality product - in Sisley's case, skin care made with natural plant extracts and essential oils.But while it is not large or inexpensive, it is all the more special for being small, personal and attentive. The scents of "Provence" are predominant with the "Essential Care Spa" treatments and products designed by Sisley especially for the Byblos spa.
The opening was in May of 2007 as the hotel's gift to itself for its 40th birthday celebration which takes place from July 20th to August 5th 2007. (We love extended birthdays as well!).

This innovative and rejuvenating spa offers unique features such as the aroma therapy shower with its constantly changing colored lights that blend with different aroma essences and even a sound track of bird song and animal noises, but relaxing ones. Fits two comfortably and with a well lubricated shoe horn probably a couple more as well.
In addition to the private treatment rooms, the Byblos Spa by Sisley Cosmetics also offers a double suite with side by side treatment beds, lounge and deep jacuzzi bath flooded with soft, diffused day light. The steam room completes the facilities. All treatments from the simplest facial to the most complete body treatments end up in the Moroccan "decrompression" chamber. A sharp contrast from the ultra modern decor of the rest of the spa.

The staff of the spa are like all the employees at Byblos, attentive and genuine without intruding into your space. The young woman who administered my facial was superb, providing not only her considerable expertise, but combined with personally prescribed Sisley products for my skin type produced a glow and radiance to my face that even my husband noticed lasted for days.
She applied my indulgence with minimal chat, slathering my face with sweet-smelling unguents, then wiping them off again with hot and cold cloths. She never seemed to finish. One session of the unguents was followed by another... then more wiping off. This continued for some time and eventually morphed into a marvelous face, head, shoulder and neck massage, involving a whole mix of traditional massage rituals. By this time I had forgotten all about the outside world, family, job and other stressys things and was putty in her hands. What had seemed to be taking forever, was much too suddenly over. But the feeling of well being stayed with me for days.

Prices: A one-hour Sisley "Coucher de Soleil sur Saint-Tropez" massage, for instance, costs €140 ($190 US) and up. In the "and up" catagories, there are the 3 hour program "Around the Olive Tree" starting with a steam bath of essential oils from Provence, an intense body hydration massage ending in a luxurious, anti-age, hydrating face care program with refined malachite stones.
Then there is the 3 hour, face and body care program called "Ultimate Byblos" that is created around the famous "Sisleÿa Global Anti-Age" range. Other shorter treatment programs are available from the 'Repairing Massage Sunset on Saint-Tropez", the "Extreme Comfort Massage with Shea butter and Mauve flower" or the "Self Tanning glow Program sun without Sun". Naturally the Sisley products are not just used exclusively but are all on sale.
There is also a make up salon which, naturally, is fully stocked with the Sisley line of cosmetics, where you can be reunited with your public face.
